It’s been an amazing 10 years! Actually 12 years. The first 2 were the “Like A Beast” days. If you read any very early blogs, you would know that we were forced to change the name. It all worked out.
I have learned so much in the last 10 years too. Never thought I would be able to set up a website, have an online store, learn how to create graphic designs, and learn how to make my own shirts. Technology has changed immensely in the last 10 years, and keeping up with it has been challenging.
But what is undoubtably the most amazing thing about the last 10 years has been all the people I have met because of these shirts. People that I know I would never meet or interact with otherwise. Luckily, sometimes, the internet can make the world a lot smaller. I got to know people from all over this country in some small way. Buying my shirts online and then posting pics on Instagram. They didn’t have to do that, but they did, and I am so thankful.
So many people from the local gyms in the last 10 years, supporting me and wearing my shirts. I am thankful, grateful, humbled and a million other words emphasizing my gratitude.
But like everything else, all good things come to an end. Trends and fashion change constantly. (Not necessarily calling my line of shirts fashion). Graphic t-shirts run their course, I think. I LOVE my SUPERBEAST design, but it is so 2015! I love all the designs, and I wear them every day to the gym.
These were never subtle designs, either. SUPERBEAST and BEAST AF are not subtle. Even WORK HARDER and GRIND are not subtle phrases. They are a call to action! Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, but it feels like the time to put these designs to rest. They have served me well. Very few things make me prouder than when I see someone in the gym wearing one of my shirts or when someone from the other side of the country post a pic on Instagram wearing the Beast! It’s been unbelievable.
This is why I have everything on the website store marked at $5. I want to sell off as much stock as I can before moving on to the next chapter of The Beast Life. There is not much left on many of the shirts. On several of them there is just one in stock. There are a few pieces that are not actually in the store yet, but I will get there. The best deal on the site is the trucker hats. If you like hats, check it out. It cost waaaaay more than $5 to have them made. I think the logo has over 10,000 stitches! Only 3 left.
So, what will be next? What is the next episode? Several ideas but nothing is definite yet. The TBL design will play a part for sure. As for types of shirts, shorts and maybe even jogger pants are real possibilities.
Way back in 2014, the dream was for this to get so big that @nike or @underarmour had to take notice and buy The Beast Life. As great as that would be, I know I would not have met as many people as I did.
Being a small business makes this very personal on many levels.
So, again, please stop by the store and check out the $5 shirts and tanks. Several different women’s tanks still available. AND I set all shipping at $5. So if you buy 1 item or 10, it’s just $5 to get delivered.
Have a safe and joyous Labor Day weekend!
Peace & Love
